For some the word ‘club’ is associated with roaring music, crowed place and multiple flirting when in fact private members club is an elite place, soaked in prestige and exclusivity. While London and New York may be the most well-known for their private member’s circuits, a number of other cities also host selective clubs that are worth a visit, but you’ll need more than just an entry fee to step through the door. This time we have prepared a selection of some of the world’s most exclusive clubs.
The Hurlingham Club (London, United Kingdom)

It’s an exclusive sports and social club located in Fulham, London; King Edward VII went pigeon shooting here. Members must be proposed and seconded by two current members. Currently there is a thirty-year waiting list for membership.
The Carnegie Club, Scottish Highlands (Dornoch, Scotland)
Fees: £ 25,000 joining fee + £ 8,000 per year
The prestigious Carnegie Club at Skibo Castle, which lies in a isolated corner of the eastern highlands. It was founded by Industrialist Andrew Carnegie, one of history’s greatest philanthropists.Members of the club include CEOs, oil tycoons, and aristocrats. Note, club is currently considering applications for new members for acceptance.
The Yellowstone Club (Montana, USA)
Fees: Joining fee over $ 200,000 + $ 20,000 per year
The Yellowstone Club, just north of Yellowstone National Park, requires that potential members own property on the land. Activities such as golf, fly fish, ski and a snow-mobile riding are available to the members of the club. You’ll also have the chance to rub shoulders with celebrities like Bill Gates, Ben Affleck, and Jennifer Garner.
CORE (New York, USA)
Fees: $ 50,000 registration fee + $ 15,000 per year
Located in Manhattan. Club provides atmosphere where CEOs and cultural icons comfortably collide.Here, you have access to a spa, gym and rare art and artists. Members include former Yahoo CEO Jerry Yang, Roger Waters of Pink Floyd and fashion designer Kenneth Cole.
Capital Club (Dubai, UAE)

The club is intended for the most influential people in the Middle East and purposefully situated in Dubai’s financial district. You are likely to find embassy representatives, bankers and lawyers ect. You can only become a member if you are invited and recommended by two current members.
Roppongi Hills Club (Tokyo)

$ 4,900 refundable deposit on withdrawal of membership
Overlooking Tokyo, this private club comprises of seven incredible restaurants, two bars, and some of the best views in the whole city. Members include business and political leaders as well as ambassadors from more than 100 countries.
China Club (Berlin, Germany)
Fees: € 10,000 joining fee + € 2,000 per year
Located in the capital center offering a “home from home” for its international members. You will find Chinese antiquities, contemporary Chinese art, and superb Chinese cuisine for the high society of culture, politics, media, and the economy. Members must be proposed by at least one club member or endorsed by the club admissions committee. Private or company membership is available too.
Kee Club (Hong Kong)
Fees: $ 2,579 per year or $ 6,448 for lifetime membership
Members get access to exclusive events with celebrities such as Bill Clinton, Sting, Michael Jordan, Gwyneth Paltrow, Christian Louboutin, Mick Jagger, Chow Yun Fat or Joel Robuchon in attendance. Referral of one of the members in required for membership consideration.
Thirty Nine Monte Carlo (Monte Carlo)
Fees: € 4,900 per year (under 27, € 2,700 per year)
It was founded by Scottish ex-Rugby International and Monaco resident Ross Beattie in 2016, who describes this luxury club as “unique wellness-focused concept.” It offers members access to high-tech sports equipment and training from sports professionals in a private-club setting.
5 Hertford Street, (London, United Kingdom)
Fees: £ 1,200 joining fee + £ 1,500 per year
Located in London’s Mayfair neighborhood. It’s the place to be for billionaires, A-list celebrities and socialites. Lupita Nyong’o, George and Amal Clooney, Mick Jagger, Leonardo DiCaprio, Prince William are all known to have partied at its downstairs nightclub called Loulou’s.
